Anna Maria Island, Florida
The Island's Northernmost Point
Bean Point sits at the northernmost tip of Anna Maria Island, where the Gulf of Mexico meets Tampa Bay. It's part of the City of Anna Maria, Manatee County's smallest and most residential municipality on the island, with roughly 1,500 full-time residents and just over 1,500 single-family homes. The point itself is known for wide, uncrowded dunes and unobstructed sunset views west across the Gulf, with the shops and restaurants of Pine Avenue a short walk or golf-cart ride south.
There is no commercial frontage and no public parking lot at the point, which is precisely why it stays quiet. Access is on foot from the residential streets, and the beach widens and narrows season to season as the tides at the confluence of the Gulf and the bay move sand around. Sunset here reads west over open water; on clear evenings the Sunshine Skyway is visible to the north.
Housing is almost entirely single-family. Older ground-level cottages sit alongside elevated coastal-contemporary rebuilds, and the closer a parcel sits to the sand, the more its value is driven by frontage and elevation rather than square footage. Because inventory in this pocket is genuinely small, well-positioned homes often trade quietly and quickly.
Buyers who want the island's quietest beach and are willing to trade walkable dining for privacy: second-home owners, retirees, and owners who rent nightly when they aren't in residence.
Bean Point is part of the City of Anna Maria, so its listings are on the Anna Maria page with homes, condos and the full map.
